Map of the nine sites where project researchers have carried out ethnographic research:

Ceuta, Chios, Cyprus, Evros, Lampedusa, Lesvos, Melilla, Samos, Trieste.

In each of these places, project researchers have analysed the ways in which activism shapes everyday life around reception centres, points of arrival, and state borders. They have contextualised this research within the long-term histories of these locations, which comprise past conflicts, histories of mobility and displacement, experiences of refuge and welcome, as well as state securitisation policies.
